DESCRIPTION
Joseph McManners was signed briefly to Sony BMG in 2005 after he was spotted auditioning for BBC's operatic version of The Little Prince. He enjoyed his fifteen minutes of fame. His debut album In Dreams did well in the classical chart, and he toured a little. But the treble didn't last long, and his dreams of perhaps being the next Aled Jones were crushed. He really was nowhere near as talented as Jones; his diction was terrible, and he struggled to stay in tune in his live performances. There were no offerings of originality and by the end of it all McManners couldn't justify his record deal, as he fell out with BMG over artistic differences before he could do so. Since McManners can play three instruments it was likely he had a lot more to offer musically than what BMG allowed him to display. Since leaving BMG, McManners has been songwriting (it is unclear in which genre but his current website design portrays an edgy pop/rock image) and has taken several acting roles in TV and film.
