DESCRIPTION
Mike Christie was a quarter of the highly successful vocal group G4, who came second in the first season of The X-Factor. Unfortunately, the charismatic group disbanded in 2007. Apart from Jonathan Ansell, the members fell off the radar pursuing their own projects. Luckily, Christie, with his smooth baritone, has decided to launch a solo career. Whilst it may be natural to compare Christie with his ex-band mate Ansell they have gone in totally opposite directions. Whilst Ansell still sings the standards, Christie writes his own material and it gears more towards contemporary music than crossover. He launched his debut solo single, 'Why Not Today' in December which is a sharp contrast to G4's previous flamboyance. An album will follow at some point this year.
