DESCRIPTION
Lucy Noble is a flutist (or flautist, depends on your preference) from the UK, set on showing the world a different side to classical music and to demonstrate the versatility of the flute. So far, she's made her point; from playing Mozart to mixing in Latin influences with a variety of musicians. Noble makes the flute interesting and a little bit spicier than her contemporaries. She makes her own arrangements (with the help of guitarist, Ben Eales) that gives even the most typical pieces a different flavour. She independently released an EP, Sunrise, of five tracks in 2009 that includes standards 'Scarborough Fair', 'Pavane' and the saucy 'Libertango'. Noble is backed by her band that includes the guitar, violin (played by none other than Eos Chater, a member of worldwide smash string quartet Bond) and percussion. Noble would make a fine listening experience for those that appreciate a blend of different sounds in their music.
