DESCRIPTION
Joanna Marie Skillet is an upcoming soprano, expected to release an album in late 2010.  After going to school to wish her friends luck with a showcase, she walked out with a record deal worth £1million with IMA Productions.  Immensely likeable, beautiful and talented, Skillet is likely to go far.  The press are already calling her the next Katherine Jenkins - but all in all, it's too soon to make such comparisons - we'd sooner compare her superior vocal capabilities to Izzy or Natasha Marsh.  Tracks up for preview are David Foster's 'The Prayer', 'Nessun Dorma' and 'You'll Never Walk Alone'; not exactly the most inspiring choices, but a perfect way to introduce her voice to a wider audience.  Skillet seems, however, a free spirit when it comes to music, open to all kinds of styles and has an infectious passion for a wide range of repertoire.  She's also a keen pianist and flautist!  It's hoped that her diversity will be reflected in her debut album.
