DESCRIPTION
At just sixteen years of age, Chase Gutierrez's rich bass-baritone may come as a surprise to many, nonetheless, his voice rings with the maturity that someone twice his age would muster. He is heavily influenced by Sarah Brightman, Andrea Bocelli, Katherine Jenkins and Il Divo, viewing them as the pioneers of classical crossover. Like many young crossover artists, Gutierrez aims to bring classical music to a wider audience, strongly believing that classical music can be appreciated and listened to by anyone. Humble, passionate and immensely enthusiastic, Gutierrez currently spends his time singing concerts locally with his brothers (Zachary and Evan Gutierrez) who collectively go by the name of Three. Gutierrez is only just starting out in his career; he is in talks with an independent label and recording a debut solo album. Early revisions for his album showcase a balance between operatic repertoire, unexpected covers and some well known crossover standards. With only Bryn Terfel showing any broad appeal as a bass-baritone, the market is wide open for the sixteen year old.
