What are these awards?
These awards are referring only to the reputation of artists on Classical-Crossover.co.uk. At the top of every artist profile there are five stars of which our members can rate the artists out of five. Three attributes of these ratings determine the artist's eligibility for the awards:
Trophies: The amount of ratings given to the artist by users; ranging from 200-100,000.
Rosette/Medals: Award based on where the artist has placed on the current user chart.
Wreath/Crown: Awarded based upon the artist's average rating from user votes.
n.b. Please be aware an artist's profile only becomes eligible for an award once they have received 200 votes.
Why have these awards been introduced?
To make things fair, our ratings will have to be reset every now and again to give new artists a fair go at the charts. However, simply deleting the effort from fans for getting their artists more exposure would not exactly be appreciated. These awards have been introduced to give the website a Hall of Fame, where the efforts will be recorded and displayed for everyone to see.
Where can I view these awards?
There are three places to view the awards;
1) If you search for artists through categories (e.g. female vocalists, instrumental groups) there is an "Awards" column on the right hand side, this shows the current awards an artist has received.
2) There will also be a Hall of Fame page clearly visible from the front page; this will show the awards given out in the past.
3) In the profiles under the heading "AWARDS"
