Only Men Aloud! came to the nation's attention in 2008 when they entered and won the UK reality television contest Last Choir Standing (Russell Watson was one of the judges, and Myleene Klass presented). They promptly scored a five album record deal and released their debut album under UCJ. Unlike other choirs, Only Men Aloud! pay more attention to arranging pop songs than recording classical pieces (though they are just as good), but like any proud Welsh artist, they have their fair share of Welsh standards. The choir are versatile and are endlessly touring, performing and recording on their own or with other artists from a variety of genres. They are probably one of the most active choirs in the UK and definitely have the highest profile in the mainstream media.
