DESCRIPTION
Maksim Mrvica (also known as just Maksim) is one of the first pianists to tackle classical crossover in earnest.  His edgy take on the classics, gothic allure and his bad boy, roguish good looks have won him many fans in Eastern Asia.  Although a different instrument, Mrvica drew from the style of Vanessa-Mae in the nineties, infusing beats and dance with classical.  However, as what is typically fashionable in central Europe Mrvica was keen to bring something edgy into the mix styling himself as a rock star.  Despite the somewhat gimmicky image, Mrvica is an incredibly talented pianist, putting the likes of Myleene Klass to shame, and mostly keeping his intricate playing to the fore in his arrangements.
