DESCRIPTION
Sarena Paton independently released her first classical crossover album, La Carissima, in 2009 but she has enjoyed a long and varied career that has included music theatre, television and film.  She has also released two other albums in a different genre.  Her beautifully packaged album covers a few crossover standards, some unexpected classical pieces, and original pop songs, some co-written by Paton herself.  Imagine Emma Shapplin singing in English and covering regular crossover material, and you have Paton.  She has a high soprano vocal, her diction is clear (perhaps due to her time in music theatre) and her vocals are concise.  Fans of lighter, relaxing, classical and pop music will find a lot to enjoy in Paton.
