DESCRIPTION
Lauren Waterworth was discovered by pop guru Pete Waterman in 2003. Waterman is not exactly the best person to launch somebody like Waterworth as his sound is not suited for her type of audience, but he had the right idea in wanting to sign her. Her debut album (rightly called Beyond Her Years) was released when she was just fourteen, though she possessed a voice that went beyond the capabilities of even the most gifted singers at that age. Her debut album was early Charlotte Church territory though Waterman destroyed it with his atrocious trademark arrangements and production. Her second album abandoned classical altogether. It's sad that she was not marketed properly nor found by the right person as she's an exceptional talent. Waterworth is still making music and releasing her own albums, though she has moved on to pop territory.
