DESCRIPTION
Charlotte Church
was one of the first "child stars” in the classical sphere as we now know it, and her presence has produced an endless amount of child stars that could not make it as far as their second album.  Her story is a well known formula by now; just about any child star singing classical sounds like, and does the same material, as Charlotte Church did. Endless tabloid interest perhaps sustained her music career for as long as it lasted, because her classical voice has never been great (though she has good pop vocals).  Although her vocals are weaker than others, her strength lies in interpretation and conviction.  Church released four classical studio albums before turning her back on classical, and releasing her mainstream pop album Tissues and Issues.  She is currently working on a new album (unlikely to be classical) and can be found on Andrew Lloyd Webber's new talent show Over the Rainbow as a judge.

I love Charlotte Church's classical album and would love her to go back to classical crossover. I loved her duetting with gorgeous Rhydian (my hero) on her TV show.
