DESCRIPTION
Charlotte Church was one of the first "child stars” in the classical sphere as we now know it, and her presence has produced an endless amount of child stars that could not make it as far as their second album. Her story is a well known formula by now; just about any child star singing classical sounds like, and does the same material, as Charlotte Church did. Although her vocals were weaker than others, her strength lies in interpretation and conviction. Church released four classical studio albums before turning her back on classical, and releasing her mainstream pop album Tissues and Issues and then Back To Scratch five years later. Church has had several TV spots, featuring on Andrew Lloyd Webber's talent show Over the Rainbow as a judge and hosting her own talk show. After so long, Church has been whispering about returning to her classical roots; watch this space!
