DESCRIPTION
Siobhan Owen leans heavily towards celtic repertoire - more so than any other crossover artist, but the difference that comes with her pure voiced soprano is that she plays the harp, and uses it in her performances. The harp is fundamental to Owen, using it as a basis for her arrangements of well loved celtic and classical standards, which certainly gives Owen the quality of individuality. She released her first independent album Purely Celtic in 2008 and as the title suggests, it's an album dedicated to celtic material. Her albums have been progressing more towards crossover repertoire and her latest album, Storybook Journey is her most accessible yet. Her stripped back production and loyalty to her harp and heritage gives her a sound no other crossover artist provides. Fans of early Charlotte Church, particularly her self-titled album, will adore everything about Owen.

A "MAGICAL" sounding album.
Truly incredible.
amazing new artist for SA and becoming popular internationally I have all the cds and enjoyed concerts, a beautiful spirit
A real Sheehogue.
Thanks Nicola xx
She has a very, very, rare sound that somehow manages to be the catalyst of a biochemical reaction in my brain releasing endorfines and other hormones related to in-love-like feelings.
This woman is seriously undervalued and I wish her all the exposure the world has to offer her. It sort of saddens me that the world isn't ready to value talent and sound like hers like she was a superstar. She is the embodiment of worldclass. I would write amazing, wonderful, but no superlatives would be sufficient to describe how her sound manages to stroke the strings of my soul.
All the best Siobhán!
