DESCRIPTION
Siobhan Owen
leans heavily towards celtic repertoire - more so than any other crossover artist, but the difference that comes with her pure voiced soprano is that she plays the harp, and uses it in her performances. The harp is fundamental to Owen, using it as a basis for her arrangements of well loved celtic and classical standards, which certainly gives Owen the quality of individuality. She released her first independent album Purely Celtic in 2008 and as the title suggests, it's an album dedicated to celtic material. Her albums have been progressing more towards crossover repertoire and her latest album, Storybook Journey is her most accessible yet. Her stripped back production and loyalty to her harp and heritage gives her a sound no other crossover artist provides. Fans of early Charlotte Church and Méav will adore everything about Owen.

Have listened to all CD's. Tends toward more mellow songs, but a few lively surprises here and there. Newest disc a bit more studio than live styling, but that just shows her versatility, and response to fan input. Her version of several songs are now my favorites. Bravo!

All the songs are beautifully sung and I have become a huge fan of her musical talent which has that touch of magic, I think. I wish her a bright and successful future ahead.

I play Storybook Journey sometimes in my car whilst stuck in traffic jams on the way to work. I particularly like Cariad as it reminds me so much of my own children as babies and one's own innermost thoughts. I also like Llangollen Market but all the songs are beautifully delivered.

all of these Classical singers are like Pro Golfers, they are all very good but it only takes some little thing extra to separate the best of them from the rest.
I believe Siobhan Owen has this quality that will separate her from the rest

I find this site not very user friendly and takes forever to vote for some one - especially if you forget your password
