Izzy is one of the early success stories of classical crossover, releasing her debut album Libera Me with Decca records in 1999. She topped the classical charts in the UK and Japan and similar success followed her to the third studio album New Dawn. She even enjoyed success in the UK singles chart when she featured on a remixed version of Hans Zimmer's signature piece 'Now We Are Free' from Gladiator. Being one of the earliest crossover sopranos launched in the UK, her material is not as experimental or pop orientated as artists that were to flood through later. She tackles arias and traditional pieces, but in a distinctive way. Particular highlights are 'Un Bel Di Vedremo', 'Una Furtiva Lagrima' and 'My Love Is Like A Red Red Rose'.
