For most artists, it's difficult to justify the claim that they're different from anything else that's out there in the market, but it can be said of Fernando Lima with confidence. He's the only countertenor in the crossover market to have signed with a major record label. He was brought to international attention when he featured on Sarah Brightman's Symphony album, went on tour with her and was a guest on her Symphony: Live in Vienna DVD. 'Pasión', the duet they recorded together, was released as a single and became the theme tune of a Mexican soap opera of the same name. That's no small entrance. Lima released his debut album, also called Pasión, in early 2008. He mostly sings in Spanish, though his track list doesn't boast of any particularly surprising numbers, but it's a beautiful selection nonetheless. He has a spectacular range and best of all; he has a voice as smooth as silk.
