DESCRIPTION
Paul Potts became an overnight sensation on Britain's Got Talent. Being a yet another Simon Cowell product, his albums cannot help but be dull when compared to other crossover artists. Potts's track listings mostly consist of Sarah Brightman and Il Divo songs with some pop songs translated into Italian thrown in. Of course, this is not really his fault. Sony BMG do this with all of their repressed albeit successful artists. Potts has a humble, and therefore, appealing demeanour and packs his performances with emotion. He may not be the strongest of singers but he provokes a strong reaction during his live performances. Although he lacks originality at the moment, time may be able to tell us what Paul Potts is really capable of when his contract eventually dries up. It is probably a lot more than what Cowell makes him churn out.
